The Saman Bank terrace joins an office floor to working nature: 290 m² of terrace designed to do more than a conventional planting scheme.
The brief was specific — screen the adjacent buildings on the north facade, and build a forest vista on the west.
Execution used a high-biodiversity approach: 2,031 plants across 61 species, forming a miniature forest ecosystem at height. The dense cover improves the terrace microclimate and air quality, and gives the bank's staff and visitors somewhere quiet to stand.
