Babylon Restaurant

The design of the VIP space at Babylon Restaurant rests on building botanical range inside one coherent spatial structure. Rather than a decorative green arrangement, the room carries the air of a private, intimate greenhouse. For all their variety, the species were selected on formal and textural compatibility, so the visual unity of the space holds.

Climbing plants suited to interiors are positioned along the walls, animating the vertical surfaces by degrees. In these same areas the walls were deliberately built with traces of corrosion, erosion and controlled deterioration — as though the plants had penetrated the material over time and taken possession of it. The encounter produces the sensation of the wall being eaten by nature, and forms an organic relationship between architecture and plant growth: here the plant is not decoration, it is the narrator of life and time.

On the lower level, in the terrace, dense and varied forest-like planting continues the same account — a green layer that brings age, rootedness and untouched nature into the space. That choice runs with the restaurant's overall concept, where wear, historical depth and the passage of time — in worn walls, eaten textures and unfinished materials — are accepted as spatial values.

In the end the planting at Babylon is not a complement to the architecture but a part of it: nature that appears to have grown into the building over time and shaped its identity.
